I am now a CISA..

It’s kinda late actually..

I and my friends took the CISA Exam on Saturday, December 8th 2007.

My preparation was just simple : the CISA Review Manual book (of course) and the CISA Review Questions, Answers and Explanations CD-ROM.

I have once attended a 5 days CISA Review Course..but I found it not so helpful (I guess).

So I finished reading the CISA Review Manual book in about 2-3 months (in every spare time that I had) and I also practiced answering questions from the CISA Review Questions, Answers and Explanations (don’t forget to read the explanation).

And I PASSED the exam!!! My score was 540.

To tell you the truth, I don’t think that the exam will put something that’s literary in CISA Review Manual. On my experience, I guess reading the book was just helping me to have big self confidence :)) And don’t expect to have your Review Questions show up in the real exam 😛 (though maybe one or two will). It will just make you used to CISA way of thinking 🙂 so that you would know, in “this” kind of case, what is the best answer according to ISACA or in “that” kind of case, what is the best answer..

The location of the exam was in JIS (Jakarta International School). Just try to make sure that you follow all of the regulations especially about the registration time.

The room was sooooo cold.. that’s why you schould prepare you thick jacket with you..I swear that it’d make you feel more comfortable (except if you can stand with very low temperature). And don’t forget to “really” have your breakfast (cos the exam might pass your lunch time :D) what else.. Well those are the things that at least I remember.

Oh yeah..right after the exam, try to find some place to relax hehehe..

After my CISA exam, I went to PIM to have my very late lunch and disccuss the exam with some friends (it’s something that you shouldn’t do..cos it’ll just make you become more stressfull hehehe)

Well das ist alles.. and Good Luck!!
